Step One: Try on Appointment

As soon as your gown arrives, we will schedule you for a TRY ON appointment. This appointment is 30 minutes long and offered Tuesday-Saturday.

What to Expect During your Try-On:

• We retake your measurements

• You’ll try on your gown for the first time

• Any remaining gown balance is due at this time.

• We discuss the alterations timeline and process.

Guest Policy:

You may bring up to 2 guests (3 total including the bride)
If you need more guests with you, please call to check on availability. Saturday appointments are strict on 2 guests max.

Accessories & Veils:

If you'd like to try accessories during this visit, please inquire in advance. Depending on availability, we may be able to include this, or we may schedule a separate Accessory Appointment to give you dedicated time and attention.

Step Two: Alterations

Alterations appointments are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis and can be scheduled once the gown balance has been paid in full.

Alterations Timeline: 

Your first fitting typically begins 8 weeks before your wedding date (or your “leave by” date if travelling)

Alterations Appointment Days: 

Alterations take place on Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday. 

Alterations Pricing: 

Alterations can range from $400-$1300, depending on: 

• The complexity of your gown
• The amount of tailoring needed
• Any additional customization requests

If you are concerned about cost or would like a clearer estimate, we highly recommend scheduling an Alterations Consultation, if time allows.

Bridal Elegance cannot provide quotes directly.
Consultations must be scheduled through BE, and consultation fees may apply.

What to Expect at your Fitting:

Your fitting is where your gown truly becomes yours. You’ll work with a professional seamstress focused on perfecting fit and structure. This appointment is more technical and detail-focused than your shopping experience, so the tone may feel more efficient—that’s how we ensure everything looks flawless for your day. Your seamstress will assess the gown's fit, pin and mark areas for adjustment, and walk you through any recommended alterations all while hearing what you have to say about how it looks and feels on you.
